Ring in Christmas

This Saturday, November 30th, Christmas is coming to Adams County.  The Annual Home for the Holidays Festival includes visits with Santa at the Niebull School House, the Home for the Holidays Parade at dusk followed by the Tree Lighting in front of the Court House in Friendship.

Also on Saturday there will be a live Nativity at St Joseph's Center in Adams from 11AM to 2PM, with vendors and food available. Please bring nonperishable food items for the Food Pantry.

Christmas Fun November 24th

This Saturday there will no shortage of Christmas spirit in Adams County. Check out these events and ring in the holiday season.

Local Adams County businesses "Home for the Holiday Celebration" begins with sales and specials in their stores beginning on Small Business Saturday.

Check out "A Night in Bethlehem", a free event at St Joseph's Center in Adams from 11AM-3PM. Donations for the food pantry would be appreciated.

The Adams County Historical Society will be hosting an Open House Saturday including a Visit from Santa from 1PM to 3PM at the McGowan House in Friendship.

Top off the evening with the Holiday Parade beginning at dusk followed the Friendship Tree Lighting.

Eat Dinner and Run for Food

Lots of fun greets us at the holiday season approaches, and Adams County is no exception.

November 19th is opening day for Whitetail Gun Deer Season and that means it's time for St Joseph's Annual Deer Hunters Dinner. The famous swiss steak meal with all the trimmings will be served Saturday evening from 4PM to 7PM at St Joseph's Parish Center. Tickets at the door will be$8.50/Adults $6.50/children under 10.

Next week brings Thanksgiving, and this year before you feast come and join in the Adams County Running Club Family Turkey Trot Just remember to bring a non-parishable item for the food pantry, then walk or run from Friendship Park to Cenex and back, a 3 mile route, and make room for the turkey late. This event begins at 8AM, so you'll be back home in time to see the Packer game!
