Sledding Hill

Family fun every Saturday (weather permitting) at the Roche-a-Cri Sledding Hill just west of County Z on Czech Avenue from 1PM to 4PM. Hot Chocolate and Hot Dogs will be available.

Halloween Fun

Family fun for Halloween - check out these great events around the area.

Saturday October 19th is the Annual Pumpkin Walk and Haunted Hayride at Roche-a-Cri State Park in Friendship 3PM-9PM.  BBQ Sandwiches served by the Adams Community Theater. See the event page on Facebook Pumpkin Walk and Haunted Hayride

Saturday October 26th join the Monroe County ATV Club for a Halloween ATV Ride. Registration begins at 6PM at Cat's Down the Road in Arkdale.

Also on October 26th is the Halloween Dance and Costume Party at the Lake Arrowhead Pines Clubhouse in the Town of Rome beginning at 7PM.

ATV Ride

Grab your helmet and head to Cat's Down the Road in Arkdale October 27th for the Monroe Prairie ATV Club's ATV Halloween Drive. Registration begins at 6PM.

This will be the last ride of the season, as ATV trails close November 1st.

Rec Days

The Roche-A-Cri Lions will be hosting Rec Days July 20th to 22nd at Arkdale Lions Park.

Three days of family fun include Softball & Horseshoe Tournaments, kids tractor pull, games, food and music.  Saturday there will be a"Grilled Chix Nic" and fireworks at dusk (weather permitting).  Sunday start your day with a Pancake Breakfast then check out the "d'Elegance Car & Truck Show" and the parade.

Centennial Celebration

It all started with a railroad 100 years ago. 

The City of Adams is celebrating it's Centennial July 4th to 7th!  Opening ceremonies begin at 8AM on the 4th with the raising of the flag by the Mayor, and fun activities and events will be happening all around Adams and Friendship.

Wednesday's festivities include the 4th of July parade at 10AM and the Hobo Fire Lighting in Burt Morris Park at 6PM. Thursday you can picnic with the Hobos in Curves parking lot from 11:30AM-1:30PM and hear the Community Band at a Pie Social in Lions Park from 5PM-8PM.

Friday see Model Railroad and City displays at the Community Center from 10AM-4PM and listen to the A-F Jazz Band perform at Burt Morris Park from 5:30PM-7PM. Saturday there is a Pancake Breakfast at the Burt Morris Pavilion from 8:30AM-11AM and Antique Tractor Rides at Burt Morris Park from 10AM-4PM; the celebration ends with fireworks at 9:30PM.

Gilbert Brown Foundraiser

The place to be in Adams County May 14th is Pineland Camping Park in Arkdale!

Saturday morning they will be hosting a Football Camp with Packers William Henderson and Santana Dobson from 9AM to 10:30AM. Price for Camp Only $25 - Camp Plus Autographed Picture with participant and players $60 - Camp, Autographed picture with participant and players, and autographed Jersey $150.00.

Then Saturday afternoon is the ATV Poker run! Cost is $20 Per ATV/1 Rider or $30 Per ATV2 Riders.
