Walk for Autism

The 2nd Annual Walk for Autism will be April 5th 10AM to 2PM at Burt Morris Park in Adams. This event is sponsored by NorthStar Services and will go towards the development of a Sensory Room/Daycare for individuals not only on the Autism Spectrum, but who have sensory issues as well as helping parents whose financial limitations may otherwise prohibit them from participating in program services.

Fun Run or Triathlon

What's your speed?  Do you prefer a slower pace or like to challenge yourself? 

Saturday July 6th is the Memorial Freedom 5K Run/Walk & Firecracker 1 Mile Fun Run at Burt Morris Park in Adams. Preregister and get a t-shirt or register on race day from 7AM-8AM.  See the event flyer here or register at OneStopRace.com

Saturday July 27th is the 18th Annual Castle Rock Triathlon at Castle Rock Park in Friendship. There will be 13 divisions, and the race begins at 8:45AM.  Preregister here or register Friday evening 6PM-9PM or Saturday morning 7AM-8:30AM in the shelter at the Park. Centennial Celebration

It all started with a railroad 100 years ago. 

The City of Adams is celebrating it's Centennial July 4th to 7th!  Opening ceremonies begin at 8AM on the 4th with the raising of the flag by the Mayor, and fun activities and events will be happening all around Adams and Friendship.

Wednesday's festivities include the 4th of July parade at 10AM and the Hobo Fire Lighting in Burt Morris Park at 6PM. Thursday you can picnic with the Hobos in Curves parking lot from 11:30AM-1:30PM and hear the Community Band at a Pie Social in Lions Park from 5PM-8PM.

Friday see Model Railroad and City displays at the Community Center from 10AM-4PM and listen to the A-F Jazz Band perform at Burt Morris Park from 5:30PM-7PM. Saturday there is a Pancake Breakfast at the Burt Morris Pavilion from 8:30AM-11AM and Antique Tractor Rides at Burt Morris Park from 10AM-4PM; the celebration ends with fireworks at 9:30PM.
