It all started with a railroad 100 years ago.
The
City of Adams is celebrating it's
Centennial July 4th to 7th! Opening ceremonies begin at 8AM on the 4th with the raising of the flag by the Mayor, and fun activities and events will be happening all around Adams and Friendship.
Wednesday's festivities include the 4th of July
parade at 10AM and the
Hobo Fire Lighting in Burt Morris Park at 6PM.
Thursday you can
picnic with the Hobos in Curves parking lot from 11:30AM-1:30PM and hear the
Community Band at a Pie Social in Lions Park from 5PM-8PM.
Friday see
Model Railroad and City displays at the Community Center from 10AM-4PM and listen to the
A-F Jazz Band perform at Burt Morris Park from 5:30PM-7PM.
Saturday there is a
Pancake Breakfast at the Burt Morris Pavilion from 8:30AM-11AM and
Antique Tractor Rides at Burt Morris Park from 10AM-4PM; the celebration ends with
fireworks at 9:30PM.
