Work-Play-Earth Day

Join in with the volunteers at Work-Play-Earth Day at Roche-a-Cri State Park in Friendship this Saturday May 3rd from 9AM to 3PM.  You can help park staff and Friends of the Park with their annual spring cleaning: putting in new playground equipment, cleaning up the campground and visitor use areas. Ready for Easter?  This Saturday, April 19th, you can take the kids out to hunt for eggs at these events:

The 11th Annual Lake Arrowhead Easter Egg Hunt for kids 12 and under 10AM at Lake Arrowhead Pines Driving Range in the Town of Rome.

The Easton White Creek Lions Annual Easter Egg Hunt - free coffee and hot chocolate - starts at 10AM sharp at the White Creek Lions Park in White Creek.

Walk for Autism

The 2nd Annual Walk for Autism will be April 5th 10AM to 2PM at Burt Morris Park in Adams. This event is sponsored by NorthStar Services and will go towards the development of a Sensory Room/Daycare for individuals not only on the Autism Spectrum, but who have sensory issues as well as helping parents whose financial limitations may otherwise prohibit them from participating in program services.
